father and son building a lasting legacy

Steve and Patrick McGuire share more than a father-son bond — they share an inherent love of the building industry.

Steve and Patrick McGuire share more than a father-son bond — they share an inherent love of the building industry.

Steve knows home building. He began his career in 1972 working for a high-quality residential construction company before he and a partner struck out on their own three years later. He reincorporated as Steve McGuire Construction Company in 1986, and later as McGuire Construction as the business grew and his son, Patrick, joined him. Along the way, Steve spent decades honing his craft as a skilled carpenter. When it comes to renovations and remodeling, he has seen it all, which is what every client needs and deserves in a contractor.

Patrick, having grown up in the construction business, officially entered the field while obtaining a business administration degree from Huntingdon College in Montgomery. While his role has evolved from laborer to owner, he’s still involved in the company’s day-to-day operations. He is credentialed as a Certified Graduate Remodeler and Certified Green Professional by the National Association of Home Builders.

Together, Steve and Patrick have built a company whose success is fueled by the quality and value they provide. Under their leadership, McGuire has developed strong relationships with local professionals, including architects, designers, vendors, and subcontractors. And we have perfected project management, meeting deadlines and budgets at every stage. With more than 150 years of combined experience and a legacy of exquisite craftsmanship, our work makes for a smart investment.

While our reverence for authentic, time-tested building methods sets us apart, so does our commitment to environmental responsibility. In our residential construction and remodeling, we use sustainable building supplies and strategies, but there’s no need to sacrifice your style or your budget. Green buildings have limitless aesthetic possibilities and significantly lower life-cycle costs. They’re a win-win for you and the planet.
